Turquoise Ocean - feeling
Turquoise whets your appetite for all that is maritime
Turquoise with white accessories, white skirting boards, door frames and window frames invites a light sea breeze into your home. Combined with wood and warm shades of sand, you get that perfect beach vibe.
Turquoise as a wall color
If you opt for turquoise as a wall color, choose a slightly warmer shade with a higher proportion of yellow. Also be sure to paint or wallpaper only one wall with this color, otherwise the room will appear rather cool. And consider that the living room must be very bright and sunny if you want to use turquoise. You may also find it difficult to source accessories in the same color. Blankets and cushions tend to be available only in cooler shades of turquoise. Was passt zu Türkis.
What goes well with turquoise?
White is a good complement to turquoise. Light yellow and dark blue also harmonize with turquoise. The trend of pairing turquoise with mocha tones is not recommended for living rooms in northern Germany as this makes them look gloomy. Shades of nature such as light-toned rattan or wicker, willow, pine or maple go well with turquoise. Black splashes of color as well as small eye-catchers in silver and gold round off a great look.
Turquoise furniture
What holds true for walls also holds true for furnishings: always use turquoise sparingly. A turquoise sofa or armchair can be a wonderful eye-catcher. A large sofa landscape, on the other hand, will tend to overpower the room. The same applies to the floor. An area rug in turquoise brings a breath of fresh air into the living room, while wall-to-wall carpeting may be too much. One-off pieces such as vintage cabinets or chests of drawers painted in
turquoise instead of white could be a nice touch.
Meaning of the color turquoise

At the same time, turquoise stands for independence, serenity and honesty.
